Hiring or Firing / Common Mistakes in HR Law
The event is intended primarily for HR managers and HR employees who deal with legal issues. Anyone who wants to test or improve their knowledge in employment law is welcome.
The seminar will focus on the most common mistakes made by HR workers and lawyers in employment relationships and, in particular, when hiring or firing. It will deal both with the legal rationale and possible negative implications. The aim of the seminar will be to provide an overview of such mistakes and recommendations on how to prevent them.
There will be a theoretical lecture supported by case law and examples plus a lot of space for Q&A. The seminar will include a short presentation of the lectors’ law firm.

Speakers
Thu Nga Haskovcova (Haškovcová&Co., Partner) – Thu Nga is founder of Haškovcová&Co. Prior to setting up Haškovcová&Co she has practiced many years in international law firms in the Czech Republic and abroad. Thu Nga advised on many cross border as well as domestic transactions involving various employment law matters.
Petr Dusek (Haškovcová&Co., Senior Associate) – Petr is Czech licensed attorney, senior associate with Haškovcová&Co. Petr has practiced in international as well as domestic law firms prior to joining Haškovcová&Co. Petr advises regularly on various matters of employment law, including contract law, employment regulatory and litigation.
Karolina Hanzlikova (Haškovcová&Co., Associate) – Karolina is attorney assistant, who specializes in litigation. Karolina advises on employment law matters.
