JŠK’s Corporate Law | M&A team will be strengthened from 1 December 2020 by experienced lawyer Martin Vlk, an expert in transactions with dual qualification for Czech and English law.
Martin Vlk is a versatile lawyer with outstanding expertise not only in the field of transactions – even the really big ones – but also in real estate and contract law. His extensive experience (he has been practising law since 2006) also includes dispute resolution and banking and finance advice. At work, he enjoys cultivating trust and unequivocally defending the client’s interests, skills he learned not only as a lawyer admitted to the Czech Bar Association, but also as a solicitor for England and Wales.
“I am glad that even in this unusual time we can strengthen our transaction team in senior positions,” said Tomáš Doležil, partner and head of JŠK’s M&A practice. “Martin embodies the ideal combination of experience, vigour and creativity, which is exactly what we were looking for, and therefore brings high expectations. I am sure that our clients will not only benefit from working with Martin but will enjoy it.”
Martin joins JŠK after almost four years at Deloitte Legal. Prior to that, he worked at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabaro Olswang, among others in London and Bucharest. He also spent one year on an internship as a corporate lawyer at České Radiokomunikace. From 2013 – 2014 he worked as a lawyer in the Czech section at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Martin graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University and the University of Law in London. As part of the Erasmus programme, he studied for a year at University College Dublin.
“I am honoured to become a member of an extremely experienced team that has won many awards, and I look forward to being part of the further development of JŠK, even in the field of English law,” Martin added.
