JŠK provided legal advice to Pražská energetika, a.s. in its acquisition of VOLTCOM, spol. s r.o.
VOLTCOM, spol. s r.o. was established in 1992 and its main activity is cable and telecommunication network design, installation, repair, maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment. It is a major supplier of transformer station projects and assemblies for the largest construction and development companies in the Czech Republic.
With more than 700,000 consumption points, the PRE Group is the third-largest electricity supplier in the Czech Republic and the operator of the country’s most reliable distribution network. The basic activities of the PRE Group include the sale and trading of electricity and gas throughout the Czech Republic, electricity distribution and production, and additional energy services.
“The acquisition of VOLTCOM fits into the current PRE Group strategy and is an important step in ensuring the reliable and secure operation of our modern distribution network,” said attorney Marie Brejchová, the head of the legal department at Pražská energetika, a.s. “The cooperation with JŠK was smooth and highly professional; the firm’s lawyers effectively supported our acquisition team.”
The JŠK team was led by partner Tomáš Doležil in cooperation with attorney Daniel Pospíšil and other members of the team.
“We are pleased that we were able to assist our long-time client in its latest acquisition and the expansion of the entire PRE Group,” Doležil said. “It was a relatively complex transaction, which, thanks to the constructive approach taken by all the participants, went smoothly.”
