JŠK advised Credit Value Investments (CVI) on two significant financings in the Czech Republic
CVI is an independent asset manager that focuses on investments in small and medium enterprises as well as real estate projects in Poland and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its inception in 2012, CVI has played a major role in developing the private debt market in the CEE region.
In the summer of 2022, CVI made two significant investments in the Czech Republic, with the support of JŠK legal counsel. While the details of the first remain confidential, the second completed transaction was a bond financing by Saunia Group, which is the market leader among sauna worlds in the Czech Republic with more than ten branches. Saunia used the funds to pay other liabilities and further development.
“We are glad that even in the current times, which are significantly complicated by Covid and the war in Ukraine, we were able to support two Czech companies in their growth ambitions,” said Radoslav Tausinger, CEO of CVI, who led both transactions. “Iwould also like to thank JŠK for its legal advice, which enabled the quality and quick execution of both transactions.”
The JŠK team, led by partner Tomáš Doležil and with the cooperation of Daniel Pospíšil and Jan Koprnický, managed to execute two CVI projects in quick succession. “We are pleased we could be there,” Doležil said. “We have again proven our ability to overcome the pitfalls of an extraordinary geopolitical situation and of great time pressure.”
