Deloitte Legal has made another significant personnel acquisition. Starting from January Jan Kotous and his colleagues from Wolf Theiss joined the law firm. The entire five-member team, which formed the core of the Wolf Theiss law firm until last year, gradually transferred to Deloitte Legal. Jan Kotous has become the third partner, joining Jan Spáčil and Martin Bohuslav in the top management of Deloitte Legal.

Jan Kotous specialises in the area of mergers and acquisition, banking and finance as well as corporate law. Among other things, he has extensive experience with transactions and legal advisory in the power industry, telecommunications and financial services. He joined the ranks of Deloitte Legal together with other experienced lawyers Martin Koláček, who specialises in mergers and acquisitions of domestic and international companies and related financing, and David Šimek, who focuses on the area of purchases and sales of assets, businesses and equity interests in companies of various sizes.

In the past, Jan Kotous worked for example in the law firms Wolf Theiss or Clifford Chance. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and from the School of Law of the University of San Francisco.
Before his role at Wolf Theiss Martin Koláček worked at Bird & Bird. He studied at the faculties of law of the Charles University in Prague and University of Burgundy in Dijon.
Before joining Wolf Theiss David Šimek, studied at the Faculty of Law of Charles University and at Cardiff University Law School in the United Kingdom.
