Description

Join us to hear a story of remarkable resilience in the face of adversity told by Oleksandra Marchenko.

In 2015, Oleksandra left her job to join Save The Children amid the Russian invasion of Donbas and Crimea. This choice introduced her to the harsh reality of refugees’ lives, which she later experienced herself when fleeing Ukraine in 2022 during a full-scale invasion.

Her story highlights the challenges refugees face when adapting to new circumstances and constantly proving themselves in unfamiliar environments. It will inspire individuals to remain true to their identity, share vulnerabilities, and trust others while advocating for equal treatment and understanding of refugees in various contexts. Oleksandra’s journey embodies the strength of the human spirit.
