My Story with Tereza Nagyová – CANCELLED
Due to the current situation related to the spread of Coronavirus, My Story with Tereza Nagyová has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We are very honoured that the next My Story speaker will be Tereza Nagyová, founder of the project NEJSEMTABU.
My name is Tereza Nagyova – I am a healthcare blogger and entrepreneur born and living in Prague.
Following graduation, my professional story began with six years’ experience with ExxonMobil Global Marine Business department. My life then changed dramatically when, due to chronic issues with Crohn’s disease, I was officially designated as disabled and had to change my lifestyle completely.
Thus in 2016, as an ostomate myself, I started my work promoting awareness of the many practical and social issues facing ostomy patients. I initiated a community blog called NEJSEMTABU, where I try to break down some of the taboos associated with living with an ostomy. I also speak regularly at medical conferences and international ostomy association congresses, organise meetings for patients and their families and write articles for several medical journals.
In recognition of my work, last year I received the Cena Olgy Havlové award for my educational work for ostomy patients.
I have also founded a company MyPouch, established to manufacture underwear and swimwear designed specifically for ostomy patients. So far, we produce for women only but have plans to include lines for men and children later this year.
