Dear mentors and mentees,

You are all invited to come for the Equilibrium Programme Opening of the 11th edition which will be held in Prague Marriott Hotel on September 8, 2021.

This event will be a joint event for participants from 10th edition, which did not have the possibility to meet and also the opening event for 11th edition participants, which are about to start their mentoring journey.

At this event, you will meet the Steering Committee members, who will introduce the programme & important information regarding the organisation, be introduced to the programme history from the past 10 years and you will also get the opportunity to hear the inspirational speaker.

The most important part of this event will be to get to know each other and use this opportunity for networking.

 

Keynote speaker – The Ambassador of Canada to the Czech Republic – Ayesha Patricia Rekhi

Ayesha Patricia Rekhi (BA Hons [Political Science], McGill University, 1996; MSc [Development Studies], London School of Economics and Political Science, 1997; MPA, Harvard University, 2016) joined Citizenship and Immigration Canada in 1999 and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 2002.

In Ottawa, she was the deputy director of the Southeast Asia and Oceania Division from 2010 to 2011 and previously served as an adviser on peacebuilding and human security issues.

Overseas, she served as vice-consul for immigration in Hong Kong from 2000 to 2002, first secretary for political and economic affairs in New Delhi from 2005 to 2009, counsellor for political and public affairs in Hanoi from 2012 to 2015, and counsellor for political and economic affairs and permanent observer to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok from 2016 to 2019.

In August 2019, Ms. Rekhi was appointed Ambassador of Canada to the Czech Republic.

The event is subject to the currently valid government regulations for holding public events.

Each participant needs to meet the following conditions:

– Negative PCR test (maximum 7 days ago).

– Antigenic test with negative result (maximum 72 hours ago).

– Vaccination against covid-19 at least 22 days after the first dose of a two-dose schedule, or 14 days after the first dose of a single-dose schedule.

– Confirmation of covid-19 disease, with no more than 180 days since the first positive test.

 

All participants are required to wear a respirator during their entire stay in the building.
