Costly Mistakes – Terminations of Employment
Description
Joint breakfast seminar with CMS and British Chamber of Commerce
Disputes with former employees over the invalidity of employment termination are sometimes unavoidable. However, following the correct termination procedure will increase the likelihood of success in these disputes. Minor mistakes can often lead to the termination of employment being invalid. The employer must then reinstate the employee and pay the costs of the court proceedings as well as reimburse the employee’s salary that the employee lost due to the invalid termination.
How to avoid these mistakes?
Join us for an interactive breakfast seminar during which we will not simply repeat the wording of the Labour Code, but will share practical insights into common termination mistakes. We will focus on:
- Pre-termination steps (investigation and evidence gathering)
- Choice of reason and method of termination
- Time limits
- Role of trade unions
- Necessary documents
- Delivery
- Employment disputes
The seminar will be held in the Czech language.
If you do not deal with HR issues in your company, please do consider forwarding this invitation to your colleagues.
CMS Team will guide you through the workshop.
