Business Breakfast with Provident Financial
Description
Report
On 27 September, The British Chamber of Commerce organised another event in our very successful “Business Breakfast” series, which sees steadily increasing interest from our members. Today, we were honoured by the presence of Viktor Boczan, the country manager of Provident Financial, one of the biggest international players in personal and business banking services.
In the cosy atmosphere of The Julius, Viktor introduced the business activities of Provident in the Czech Republic, which was followed up by a lively discussion.
Thank you for your attendance, and we look forward to meeting you all again!

Viktor Boczan joined Provident Financial Hungary in 2001 when the company started from scratch as a greenfield investment. He held several positions throughout the 13-year length of service, including being the Sales Director. Over these years, the network went through a major transformation and won external awards like “Excellence in Customer Service”, “Superbrand”, or the “Best Employer”.
In 2014, Viktor was promoted to the CEO of Provident Financial in Romania as his first international assignment and grew the company as the biggest and most reputable NBFI in the market. That made him one of the most influential leaders in Romania. Under his leadership, the company reached its record customer number of 360,000 and, with almost 5,000 employees, became one of the largest British employers.
Following the almost five-year assignment in Romania, he joined Provident Czech in 2019 to put the business back to growth by focusing on customer excellence, transforming the network, diversifying channels, and building an engagement-based internal culture. His leadership philosophy is about fostering high-performing team collaboration, a can-do attitude, and building engagement.
Viktor graduated as a technology manager and also holds an executive MBA. He is married, has two children, and is fanatically into sports.
