Description

This is a story about and by Silvia Bušniaková, BCC Managing Director, who has agreed to share her life story with us.

Having university degree from Pedagogical faculty, Silvia has worked for BCC for 16 years now. Born in Slovakia, brought up in Africa, spending her teen – age in former Yugoslavia, had to evacuate the country while NATO bombing of Serbia during the Kosovo War, finished her high school education in the USA,  studied in Germany, Portugal, UK- Silvia has a fascinating story to tell.

Story about travelling the world and building her self-confidence during discovering different cultures. This is a story about one “never give up” single mum, who has experienced big downs in her life such as mental abuse and is not afraid to share it openly.

This is a story about a woman, who despite being told she “will never make it”  has established  a company Avlis, started to sell konjac products  all over Czech  e- commerce and retail and managed to sell the company after 6 years with a  turn-over around 15 million CZK.    Attendance fee

Kuchařky bez domova (Homeless Cooks)

As women without means, often facing health or mental difficulties, foreigners or Roma women encounter discrimination and rejection in their search. And that’s why our social bistro “Homeless Cooks’ Dining Room” is here. In the Dining Room, women gain resources for housing or debt repayment, experience in professional gastronomy, and restored confidence. In BCC we want to encourage these women and support them.
