NewsDeloitte Makes Changes in Management Plus Appoints New Partners

The management of Deloitte Czech Republic has changed with effect from June 2018. The Audit & Assurance and Tax & Legal functions are newly managed by David Batal and Adham Hafoudh, respectively. Their predecessors transferred to regional leading roles within Deloitte Central Europe. Furthermore, Deloitte appointed five new partners with effect from June.

David Batal, the new Partner in Charge at the Audit and Advisory function at Deloitte, joined the company in 1999. During his career, David gained extensive experience in auditing clients operating in the real estate and construction sectors as well as financial institutions. David has a degree in Corporate Economics and Management at the University of Economics, Prague. David replaces Martin Tesař who became the regional audit leader at Deloitte Central Europe. 

Adham Hafoudh, the new Partner in Charge at the Tax and Legal function at Deloitte, has also worked for the firm since 1999. Adham focuses mainly on VAT and has broad experience with VAT structuring of international business transactions, dealing with tax authorities and the tax technology agenda. He also serves on the Deloitte Central Europe Executive Committee responsible for Talent. Adham graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the University of Economics, Prague. Adham replaces Jaroslav Škvrna who became the new COO at Deloitte Central Europe.

From June Deloitte also has five new partners:

Daniela Hynštová is a new partner at the Audit & Assurance function of Deloitte Czech Republic. She specialises in providing services to financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. Her clients include a number of banking groups and insurance companies.  

Tereza Kavan Klimešová is a new partner at the Tax & Legalfunction of Deloitte Czech Republic. She leads a team handling the issues of remuneration, taxation and global employee mobility. In addition, Tereza specialises in serving Japanese companies.

Jan Balatka became a partner in Consulting at Deloitte Czech Republic responsible for analytical services and forensic technology. Furthermore, he has been leading an analytical and forensic laboratory within the Analytical Services Centre for Deloitte Central Europe. Jan has vast experience in data and forensic analyses and e-discovery.

Martin Bohuslav is a new partner at Ambruz & Dark Deloitte Legal which he joined in 2003. He leads teams providing services in the area of private law. Martin primarily focuses on services concerning technology law.  

Dušan Ševc became a new partner at the Financial Advisory function. He is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, providing financial due diligence services.
