NewsAttorney Petr Koblovský joins DLA Piper team

Petr Koblovský has joined international law firm DLA Piper as Counsel in the Corporate practice, expanding the team of M&A and financial services lawyers.

Petr joins the team at the DLA Piper Prague office, where there is currently a team of around 25 lawyers. He will advise on all aspects of corporate and financial law and banking issues.

The Prague team provides comprehensive legal consultancy to its clients in a wide range of sectors and offers exceptional knowledge and experience based directly on the market environment, especially on transactional and financing projects. Petr Koblovský has more than ten years’ experience as a professional legal consultant in Czech law firms. Previously, he worked in Allen & Overy and Kocián Šolc Balaštík. He also acted for the European Central Bank and the European Investment Bank. Petr is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Liberal Institute and he acts as the chairman of the Institute for Behavioural and Economics Studies. Between 2009 to 2013 he taught at the University of Economics in Prague and currently lectures at several private and public universities. He is also a member of the New York Bar Association.

Petr graduated from the Law Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno and from the University of Economics in Prague. During his studies he completed internships and study programs at leading foreign universities, including Harvard Law School and Yale Law School in the US.

In his leisure time, he is involved in academic activities in the field of behavioural economics and management finance. He also enjoys wine tasting and cooking.
