Allen & Overy announces today the promotion of Prokop Verner to a partner in its global corporate practice as of 1 May 2017.

Prokop has been leading Allen & Overy’s corporate practice in Prague since May 2015. He has been instrumental in cementing our position of a leading adviser for strategic industry buyers and sellers on high-value and cross-border M&A transactions. Among the diverse deals Prokop led are, for example, Asahi’s acquisition of the former SABMiller businesses and operations in the CEE.

Prokop joined Allen & Overy in 2004. He has been focusing on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. Prokop is also an acknowledged specialist in the sectors of telecommunications, media and technologies and in the area of personal data protection, including regulatory matters. Prokop is admired by clients, who say: “He is a strong negotiator with a great understanding of M&A as well as the business, so he is able to combine both worlds – which makes him a must-have person on your team.” CHAMBERS 2017
