NewsAllen & Overy advises on a pioneering private education sector transaction

Allen & Overy has advised a consortium of investors, including J&T Arch Investments, and its founder Ondřej Kania, on the strategic divestment of a majority stake in Consilium Europe (Consilium) to Dukes Education. The CZK1 billion transaction marks a significant milestone in the private education investment landscape within the CEE region.

Consilium is composed of three American academies in Prague, Brno and Zagreb and operates a local curriculum school, three bilingual nursery and junior schools, and an educational consultancy, all based in Prague. The group also owns a British school in Spain. The group’s commitment to excellence has positioned it as a key player in the private educational sector in the CEE region.

The A&O team advising on the transaction was led by partner Prokop Verner and senior associate Jana Chwaszcz with support from associate Martin Vykopal.
